- Futurist – Prophets are talking about the Jesus as the future saviour.

- Jews don’t believe that Jesus was the Messiah as he didn’t follow the laws – they don’t think that Isaiah was talking about Jesus’ suffering but the nation of Israel.

- On the other hand, Christians would say that the passage was futurist and it links to how Jesus went through a lot of difficulties and suffered like the suffering servant.

He was despised and rejected He was pierced, crushed and wounded. He did not protest or defend himself. He was punished for other's wrongdoings. His death was that of a criminal but he had done no wrong.
