The Virginia resolutions said that the colonists had come to Virginia with equal rights to all British subjects and that they still retained them that Virginians alone had the right to directly tax Virginians and that only those who would be affected by taxes at the right to pass them.
What were two unintended outcomes of the Stamp Act?
1) The stamp act attacked all the colonies equally so it actually helped to join them together in a shared cause.
2) Because he stamp act attacked paper it attacked people who were the most prestigious and vocal in the colonies including lawyers newspaper writers printers and merchants.

Legalized the quartering of British troops not only an empty buildings or taverns but also in private homes.

It’s said that a fair trial could not be had for a British soldier or official in Massachusetts so the trial would be transferred to another colony or to England
What was the Massachusetts government act?
A new charter for the colony of Massachusetts that allowed a governor to be appointed by the king who could then appoint his own counsel rather than having the council be elected by the colonists.

Closed the port of Boston until the colonists paid for the tea they had destroyed.
