The Speaker is the highest authority in the House of Commons, chairing debates, keeping order and calling MPs to speak

Maintains order in the House - e.g., yelling order in the House, Kemi Badenach getting out of control over EU law plans
Ensuring that rules are kepts - e.g., kicking people out of the House, Paul Bristow over disrespect to Speaker
Deciding which MPs will speak - e.g., MPs bobbing up and down
