Permission & Agreement Req for Foreign NGOs

Any foreign non-gov org. if willing to work within Nepal, before starting the workshall submit an application for permission to the council along with following documents.

Social Organizations & Institutions willing to get assistance

S16. 1 | Project Proposal and application

Answer 35

- Social org and inst willing to get material, technical, economic or any other kind of assistance either from GON or foreign countries, international social org and inst or missions shall submit a proposal and application along with other details to the council. - Provided that, yearly assistance up to Rs 2 lakh p. a. for the project that is to be finished immediately may be taken only giving pror notice to the council and after the completion of said work, a report shall be submitted to the council, within the period of three months.

S16.2 | Permission to be received from the council within 45 days

After receiving an application the council shall provide permission coordinating with the concerned ministry or agency within the period of 45 days

S16.4 | No pre-permission req for emergency relief services

No pre-permission shall be required to those international institutions established under international agreements in which GoN is a party for assistance that relates emergency relief services, provided notice is given to the council after receiving such assistance

While providing economic assistance to the approved projects by the foreign organizations, assistance shall be channelized through the commercial banks operating within Nepal.

Social org and inst interested to be affiliated with SWC 1) shall apply with fees and following documents a- Registration Certificate (Co लाई OCR, others लाई District Ad Office को certificate) b- Copy of constitution c- Citizenship of Board of members (if company; promoters) d- Name, occupation and other details of executive committee members e- Proposed office location f- Power of Attorney in case of foreigner g- Other documents as prescribed.
