Q

Moral values in the Aeneid

A

Virgil’s pictures are of specific historical scenes of Rome’s future history. They are chosen partly for their visual impact, partly as being critical moments, but largely because they illustrate typical Roman virtues such as keeping faith, worshipping the gods, bravery in adversity, and finally the triumph of Roman values over those of the East at the battle of Actium – RD Williams
