What are the 3 subscription levels for SUSE Support?
Standard, Priority and Premium
Standard Support is for what type of installations?
There is Standard, available 12 hours, good for test environments or small installations
Priority Support is for what type of installations?
Priority for 24/7 support, good for production environments
Premium Support is for what type of installations?
Premium support for large organizations, has dedicated engineers
How many VMs are covered per subscription in SUSE Support?
Suse does not count/care how many VMs you have spawned from a physical machine. Subscriptions cover a physical machine.
What is the support timeline for General Availability?
general support is for 10 years
How often do Service Packs come out?
Service Packs come out every 12-18 months, they overlap among them for about 6 months, so you have a window of 6 months to upgrade
What is elongated with a LTSS?
SPs can be elongated with a LTSS
What is LTSS for General Support and for Service Packs?
Long Term Service-pack Support. if on general support, it extends it by 3 extra years, if applied on a SP, it can extend it for 12 to 36 months.
What is RMT?
RMT: Repo Management tool, it is a proxy for the SUSE Customer Center, it is free to use, it allows for local repos behind corporate firewalls.
