Exclusive Rights
Means the right to exclude other people from doing anything with your copyright.
The First Right
To make a copy of your work. What this means, especially, is that no one else can copy it. Only you can.
The Second Right
The right to create derivative works. In other words, if you write a song, you could license that song for other purposes.
For example: you can look at NWA and “Straight Outta Compton,” which is a big song from their album “Straight Outta Compton.” It became a movie, “Straight Outta Compton.”
The Fourth Right
The right to perform your work publicly. You have the right to stop it from being performed.

Performance Rights Organizations. They exist to collect money for the use and performances of your song.

The right to distribute your work to the public. Sell it, rent it, lease it, give it.
Fifth Right
The right to display your music in public. Use the lyrics on a t-shirt, put it on a greeting card, etc.
Sixth Right
The newest right. The right to exclude your music from being played on any digital audio platform.
