What is a sacrament?
It is a sacred religious ritual or ceremony.
Baptism
Initiation into the Christian community, cleansing from sin, and rebirth through water and the Holy Spirit.
Eucharist
Holy Communion
Sharing in the body and blood of Christ through the consecrated bread and wine, commemorating the Last Supper.
Confirmation
Receiving the Holy Spirit and affirming one’s commitment to the Christian faith, often performed in adolescence.
Reconcilliation
Confession
Seeking forgiveness for sins through confession to a priest and receiving absolution.

Anointing of the sick
Administering holy oil to the sick or those in danger of death, invoking God’s healing and comfort.
Holy Orders
Consecration of individuals as clergy (deacons, priests, bishops) for leadership and service in the Church.
Matrimony (marriage)
Sacramental union between a man and a woman, symbolizing the love between Christ and the Church.
