How is transubstantiation different from transformation?
The Catholic doctrine of transubstantiation concerns itself solely with the substance, the essence, of bread and wine being changed wholly into the substance of the body, blood, soul, and divinity of Jesus Christ—one substance being changed into another substance with no concern as to the physical form or properties (the accidents) of what remain after the transubstantiation has been confected.
Transformation would involve a complete change of the physical form/properties of one substance into the physical form/properties of a different substance.
From the beginning, the Church has ALWAYS used transubstantiation in its doctrine describing the Sacrament of the Eucharist. True or False
True
