The Royal Wolverhampton Flashcards
Why do you want this job?
New cross- I have experience working here and as a autistic person I felt supported by the radiographers here and would love to feed that along to students when I work here as I’m aware new cross is a teaching hospital. I am also interested in the fact that new cross has the heart and lung centre and I am interested in working in invention but most importantly the trusts values align with my own.
I’ve had radiographers go extra mile to support my learning
The care I’ve seen given
The support given to newly qualified rads also
Why is Royal Wolverhampton for you?
I enjoyed working here and have felt supported by staff especially in regards to me being autistic and having staff that care about your learning. I align with the trusts values its something I do truly believe in and I hope that I can be here to continue that on and the staff here were kind and caring to them and do go the extra bit for patients. and exceeding expectation because there was times where I look back where staff have gone the extra mile for me and I look back and I’m glad that staff spent extra time teaching me so that I can be the best radiographer that I can.
I know that new cross also gives you the chance to rotate through modalities as a staff member and really support staff in their own development. but also it has the heart and lung centre so I know there is great paths for development in cath and angio departments for staff.
Role of radiographer in the trust?
Within the trust, this hospital is a teaching hospital and its also a HCPC require to teach students and apprentices and also New Cross has the heart and lung center which means its invervental departments and the knowledge of staff is extensive and this also brings in the role of working in multidisciplinary teams since alot happens here.
