The middle ages was also referred to as the Age of Faith because Christian belief was so widespread at the time.
Why were clergy members more powerful/valuable than ordinary people? Is this true today?
The were more valuable/powerful because they knew how to read and write, but ordinary people didn’t. This isn’t true today.
