The names given to different sections of a business that carry out the functions of the business
What does Production involve?
The process of combining factors together so a product is made.
What is involved in Human Resources?
Personnel is responsible for recruitment, training, retention, approval and monitoring performance, dismissal and ensuring the laws relating to employment are followed.
What does the Marketing Department do?
They deal with market research, pricing, selling, packaging, distribution, promotion, design and after sales
What does finance involve?
The involvement of accounting, paying wages and salaries, paying taxes, payments to suppliers and raising finance
Function of Research and Development department?
The involvement of improving existing products or creating new products.
Administration function?
The management of services that help support the smooth running of departments
Functions of Distribution?
- prepare the packaging of goods to be moved
- packing the products into vehicles
- working out schedules showing where and when products need to be delivered
- receiving returned goods and dealing with replacement
Function of Internal Customer Service?
The supporting of employees, managers and other departments
External Customer Service function?
The supporting of families, other business customers and suppliers
