What was the Mandate of Heaven?
The right to rule came from heaven, the heavens would bring blessing to a just and moral ruler. Floods, corruption, or famine were signs that the ruler had lost the mandate.
What were some achievements of the Zhou?
Use of iron for weapons and tools, built roads and canals to increase trade, created minted coins
What happened during the Warring States Period?
The kings lost all power, law and order declined, and traditional values were rejected.
What is Legalism?
A very strict way of bringing peace and order.
