Q

Main Position

A

The right to bear arms as enshrined in the Second Amendment is fundamental to the security of a free people. Our Founding Fathers recognizes that the ability to defend oneself is the natural outgrowth of the right to life. It is the means by which citizens can protect themselves, defend against oppressive government, and secure the other rights guaranteed in the Bill of Rights.

Q

Congress’ Role

A

Congress’ role should be one of preservation of the Second Amendment. Our national representatives should prevent the liberal anti-gun agenda of control and registration. Gun control legislation in some of America’s largest cities has failed to stem the tide of violence or reduce crime.

Q

Gun Registry

A

Congress should oppose efforts to create, or take steps towards, a national gun registry or other liberal controls that will erode the Second Amendment. It should also resist calls to impose onerous regulations that burden those who seek to defend their own life and property.
