What does Allegiance mean?
Loyalty from someone who is inferior towards a superior individual or cause.
What is Anatomy?
A branch of science that is about dealing with the structural organization of organisms.
What are Aqueducts?
Systems that channel water through artificial structures. Mostly a bridge.
What is Astronomy?
The study of celestial objects; (stars, planets, comets, galaxies)
What are Beliefs?
An acceptance that a statement is true or that something exists.
What are Bills of Exchange?
A legal physical document that requires you to pay money to the one who owns the document by signing it.
What was the Black Death?
An infectious disease that killed millions in Europe and was caused by a bacteria called Yersinia Pestis.
What is Christianity
It is an Abrahamic Religion based on mainly Jesus.
What is a City-State?
A city that forms a state based on its territory. It is like a small independent country.
What is Civic Humanism?
The modern term for how people during the renaissance had different worldviews, and how they had different scientific and moral philosophy.
What were the Classical Civilizations?
There were three classical civilizations; The islamic, the roman, and the greek civilizations.
What are Crusades?
They were religious wars held by christians where they would attempt at capturing holy land, (mainly Jerusalem), in order to be forgiven for their sins, or to go to heaven.
What is Cultural Contact?
Contact between two different cultures possibly resulting in a change in both systems.
What is Democracy?
It’s a form of government where you elect your representative, and every citizen gets to vote.
What is Excommunication?
The act of excluding someone from participating in services in a church.
