What was the Renaissance?
The rebirth of Greek, Roman or classical knowledge.
What invention helped speed up the spread of knowledge and why?
The printing press helped speed up the spread of knowledge because books cold be made in English (more people also learned to write) so people could understand. Books were also mass produced and therefore cheaper.
What different view did Copernicus have?
The Earth spins round the sun.
Who made a telescope to see?
Galileo.
As the Catholics were being questioned (and no longer believed) a new branch of Christianity came. What was it called?
Protestant.
In the past books were always about language. What were they about now?
Poems, plays, stories and facts.
What were the main things that led to the voyages of discovery?
The printing press( as the maps would be more accurate), the discovery that the world was round and people identifying constelations.
