They complained as they seen a pattern and it was young black Americans forced to go but many White Americans got away with it. This was seen as unfair

Why did people protest?
The anti-movement believed:
- the war war morally wrong
- the USA was lying to its people
- the war was corrupting young US soldiers through drugs and mindless violence
- the south Vietnamese government was corrupt; the North Vietnamese were fighting for freedom
