When enlisted into the army, there is an obligation to donate blood. In Israel, there is a habit of not taking blood from people who immigrated from certain African countries; however, the problem is that soldiers of Ethiopian descent found out that their blood was being discarded.

Closing police files due to lack of evidence or lack of public interest does not allow Ethiopian Jews to move on with their life as they are not cleared of guilt.
