Define the term “Covenant”
Everlasting Religious Contract between God and the people. ‘Spiritually binding’
What part of Abraham’s life shows that the covenant is important to Abraham?
Abraham wanted to prove his faith to God. Abraham showed God that he would obey every word, as Abraham was asked to kill his son. Abraham obeyed the command and God stopped Abraham just before Abraham was about to kill his son. God also promised Abraham a son named Isaac that caused the covenant. Abraham was spiritually binded to God.
Why do Jews feel a connection to Israel?
As God promise Israel to Abraham’s son’s as they would discover and rule over. Jews discovered the land as God guided them to Israel
Is Israel the first, second or third polytheistic/monotheistic or pantheistic land?
Israel is the first monotheistic land

New land - Genesis 12
Children (Descendants) - Genesis 15
Circumcision and Identity - Genesis 17
What does the term “Contract” mean?
Exchange of promises, usually in writing. Legally binding.
