What is a fuse?
A fuse is an electrical device which has a thin wire which melts when the current exceeds the fuse’s rating e.g 3A. They are single use and they prevent fires

The live wire
What is the green and yellow wire?
The earth wire

The neutral wire

Where is the earth wire?
At the top

What are the pins made from?
Brass- have to be rigid and a good conductor
What does the cable grip do?
Keeps the wires in a fixed place
What is the white flex?
It’s insulation which keeps the wires together
What are the wires made out of?
Copper- it is a good conductor
