Why was the Schlieffen plan formed?
A
because Germany was surrounded by their enemies France and Russia. this was made in 1905 just incase Germany was at war.

what was in the schlieffen plan?
A
to invade France at high speed through Belgium (neutral ). He knew France’s allie Russia would take up to six weeks to come and help them. After they captured Paris they would travel to Russia who would still be getting ready.

A
France wanted revenge on Germany for their defeat in the Franco-Prussian war.

France would attack Alsace and Lorraine at high speed, after capturing them they would head for Berlin.
