What do you need to know about The Personal License?
What duty do you have to declare all relevant offences not only when making the application but also during the procedure and after granting and any renewal?
If you’re charged with a relevant offense (violence, dishonesty, drugs, firearms, drinking and driving, food safety and trading standards) you must notify the court no later than the first hearing that you have that you are a personal licence holder.
If you’re convicted then you must inform the Licencing Authority of any conviction and sentence.
What is a personal licence?
A personal licence is a licence to sell alcohol. or to authorise the sale of alcohol, in any premises in England and Wales which have a Premises Licence.
How long is a Personal licence valid for?
A personal licence will last indefinitely.
Who can object to a personal licence being granted?
Only the police.
