1938:

Germans staged kristellnacht in response to a Jew assassinating a German ambassador in Paris.
The SS organised a series of attacks on Jewish communites (homes, shops (7.5k destroyed), synagogues)30k Jews sent to CC and 100 killed

This was the first time Jews had been physically harmed by the Nazis
