- The ____ core values are very essential in the formation of the Perpertualite, for they serve as a guide for the formation the school is giving to the students.
- These values help the school to determine whether the objectives of the institution are met or actualized; that is why they serve too as indicators for the formation of the students.
- Values being imbibed, adapted and practiced by the students will tell whether the school’s objectives and its process of formation are successful in molding Perpetualite into his/her true identity and dignity.
“The understanding of positive virtues and values gives individuals and societies the moral accountability that is the basis of human integrity” (Leano 2018, p.78)
Eight
→ The First value of the School.
→ This value sums up the whole 10 commandments of God, and they are interconnected, that is why the University categorized them into one core value.
- Because one cannot love God without loving oneself positively and without loving others respectfully, and this is vice versa;
- One cannot love oneself and others truthfully without loving God as the creator of all.
Love of God, Love of Self, Family and Neighbor
→ The second value of the school.
→ This value inculcates among Perpetualite true patriotism and nationalism and, at the same time, how to accomplish one’s work without any form of corruption.
→ A Perpetualite must have a true sense of readiness to serve and to offer oneself for the good of the country.
Love of Country and Good governance
→ The third value of the school.
→ It tells that the formation a Perpetualite receives in the school is actually his/her preparation for his/her professional life in the future.
→ What he/she is today as a student is very much related to what he/she will become in his/her professional life.
Academic and Professional Excellence
→ The fourth value of the school.
→ In this value, the University wants to imbibe in the Perpetualite the importance of one’s health, which must be felt or seen too around him/her.
→ To be healthy in oneself is not enough if the surrounding where he/she lives in is unhealthy, and to live in a very healthy surrounding is not enough if the person who lives in it is very sickly or unhealthy.
Health and Ecological consciousness
→ The fifth value of the school which is about the importance of healthy and sound relationships among others.
→ This value makes the Perpetualite responsible and consciously concerned about the issues and trends of the whole world.
Peace and global solidarity
→ The sixth value of the school which helps the Perpetualite to imbibe good leadership qualities as a Christian and as a Filipino at the same time.
→ It forms Perpetualite to be a very dynamic person who can lead whenever he/she calls for it.
Filipino Christian Leadership
→ Th seventh value of the school which concerns spiritual dimension and foundation of the formation of the Perpetualite.
→ It imbibes among Perpetualite the importance of having a good sense of faith based on the Catholic teachings.
Value of Catholic Doctrines
→ The last value of the school which is about the relation of the Perpetualite to his/her Alma Mater.
→ This is an institutional loyalty program where a Perpetualite will see himself/herself as an essential partner of the institution in realizing its objective of character building is nation building.

All the 8 Core Perpetualite values upon imbibing them into one’s personality and character, will mold Perpetualite according to the vision, mission, and objectives of UPHSD.
