Q

What did the Treaty of Versailles deal with?

A

1) the treaty (agreement) dealt with Germany, other defeated countries made separate treaties
2) Germany lost land, especially Alsace Lorraine (which went back to France, Alsace Lorraine is the large piece of land to the west of Germany)
3) the Rhineland was demilitarised, this was because France wanted more security as they were close enough to be invaded by Germany and they felt it could happen again because it had already happened twice.
