What was the Concordat?
The Catholic Church and Hitler signed an agreement, Church wouldn’t interfere with politics and Hitler wouldn’t interfere with the church.
What was the Reich Church?
Set up and controlled by Nazis, had to swear an oath of loyalty to Hitler.
What was the Confessional Church?
Opposition to Hitler, set up by Martin Nielmöller.
Who were the Edelweiss Pirates?
Gangs of working-class youths from different cities in Germany, who opposed Hitler.
Who led the White Rose Group?
Sophie Scholl, Hans Scholl and Christoph Pobst.
How were the methods of opposition between the Pirates and the WGR different?
Pirates would parade and play music whilst handing out leaflets, whereas the WRG would spread anti-Nazi messages through leaflets and graffiti.
Why did it fail?
They were sent to prison or concentration camps by the Nazis.
What were the three K’s?
