1933: Deal with the pope allowing Hitler to take over politically in Germany as long as he left the Catholic church alone.
Why did Hitler oppose religion?
People saw a god as their leader rather than him and therefore he could not rely on their loyalty to him
Who was Martin Niemoller and what happened to him?
He was a protestant that opposed the nazi party and was vocal about it and so he was sent to a concentration camp.
