Shape and form of the land, as well as how it’s distributed on the earths surface within a place
- topographical features like mountains may be composed of a specific type of rock
- local rock may be used to build houses giving them a specific look only that place has
Slate villages of north wales - are known for the houses built of local slate , the cultural in the area is deeply connected to the slate
