The middle passage was the route from West Africa to the Carribean as a part of the slave trade.
How did all the slaves fit on the boat
They were laid in rows so that as little space as possible might be lost. They were put in chains on both hands and feet.

The slaves are kept below decks, to breathe hot polluted air.
