The one who is anointed as king in the end of days (messianic age)
- can bring together all the people of the world
- can rebuild the temple in Jerusalem
- can establish the kingdom of god

The time when the messiah comes. Tenakh says that during this time there’ll be peace among all nations, all Jewish people will return to Israel, temple will be rebuilt, the whole world will accept god & Judaism.

• Jews pray for the coming of a messiah, return for those forced to leave at the exile, reward to righteousness, rebuilding of temple in jersualem, 3 services a day in the temple
• messiah will bring about the messianic age meaning an age of peace and justice for all.

• some rabbi’s believe they know when the messiah will come
• other rabbi’s believe no one knows when the messiah will come only god does

• the 13 principles say all Jews should believe in the messiah as Maimonides is a respected rabbi n Judaism and all Jews should believe what he teaches

• Maimonides says no one knows when the messiah will come so with the lack of detail different wil have to have come about
• nothing in the Torah abut the messiah and very little in the rest of the tenakh so since its no clear different opinions will have to have come about
