Why the ratio of gin and vodka martinis are differents?
Because Gin is stronger in flavour whereas vodka is more subtle, therefore there’s less vermouth in a Vodka martini.
What makes a Martini?
Alcohol and aromatized wine.
General rule about balancing Spirit and vermouth in a martini?
The stonger the core, the more vermouth is added to balance it.
What is aquavit?
It is a spirit originally from Scandinavia, flavoured with anise or caraway.
What is the impact of proof on a gin?
A higher proof gin will be spicier, whereas a lower proof gin is more citrusy.
