What is the littoral zone?
A
It is the area where land is subject to wave action. It is constantly changing and varying due to SHORT TERM factors like tides and storm surges. Or LONG TERM factors like changes in sea level and climate change

What are the sub zones within the literal zone
A
Backshore - area above high tide and only affected by extremely high tides
Foreshore - this is land where most wage processes occur
Offshore - the open sea
