Q

What causes women to have severe menstrual symptoms? Which mineral loss stage does this occur in?

A

When the body hi-jacks the reproductive system to remove waste. This occurs in stage 1, high pHs because the digestive system has slowed down.

16
Q

What are the primary uses of nitrates?

A
  1. Synthesize proteins (hormones, amino acids)
  2. Helps digest potassium out of food.
17
Q

How does magnesium affect potassium levels and why?

A

By decreasing nitrates, it diminishes your ability to glean potassium from food.

18
Q

What are the general daily requirements for potassium and magnesium?

A

K = 4000mg, Mg=400mg

19
Q

Why does magnesium help the bowels move, and what problem does it cause?

A

Moves bowels because you have too much. It can affect potassium absorption.

20
Q

What’s the ideal way to get magnesium?

A

Through greens, vegetables, in chlorophyl. Not through isolated supplement.

21
Q

When would someone be on both magnesium and Potassium?

A

Only if they are taking chlorophyl (not pure mg) and potassium.

Also, if people are determined to take magnesium and they want to compensate for it.

22
Q

What’s the danger of taking magnesium if you don’t need it?

A

It can reduce your ability to synthesize needed proteins by reducing nitrates. Anything with an amino acid needs nitrates.

23
Q

By what mechanism does magnesium decrease nitrates?

A

Turning them into ammonia and the body gets rid of it.
