The inner spiritual battle of every muslin to fulfill his religious duties and the outer, physical struggle against the enemies of Islam.
Radical Islam
7 percent of the Muslim world embraces radical Islam and Jihad, or Holy War- that the goal of Islam is to impose the Islamic religion on the world by force, if necessary.
Fighting against non- Muslims is viewed not as an act of aggression but an act of restoration
What is the Islamic View of Man?
Islam rejects the doctrine of the fall of man.

He was referring to the collapse fo the Ottoman Empire following its defeat with its German ally in WW1.
The Goal of ISIS was to restore the caliphate.
Sunni
Supported by Saudi Arabia. They are the majority. Believe Muhammad was the final prophet. Other leaders are temporary.
Shia
Supported by Iran- just 10-13% of world’s Muslims.
Shia also recognized Muhammad as Allah’s prophet, but recognize current spiritual leaders as God;s representatives on earth, descendant of Muhammad son-in- law, Ali.
