When should the imperfect tense be used?
A
For actions that happened over a long period of time

How do you form the imperfect tense?
A
Take the stem of the nous form of the present tense, then add the correct imperfect ending.
These endings never change

What are the imperfect endings?
A
je -ais tu -ais il/elle/on -ait nous -ions vous -iez ills/elles -aient
Sometimes an extra e is needed to keep the consonants sounding soft eg. manger becomes mangeais
C may need a cadilla sometimes
