The Kapp Putsch - run by Wolfgang Kapp - was defeated by a general strike by Berlin workers which paralysed essential services such as power and transport.
What happened in November 1923?
Adolf Hitler led an attempted rebellion in Munich, known as the Munich Putsch.
What happened to Hitler after his rebellion?
He got off very lightly, and was even able to gain lots of public attention from this. He was put on trial but it became clear that many Germans shared his hatred of the Treaty.
What did Hitler achieve over the next 10 years?
He exploited German resentment of the Treaty of Versailles to gain support for himself and his Nazi party.

The strike meant that Germany had no goods to trade and no money to buy things with. This led to hyperinflation.

Money was virtually made worthless causing a huge increase in all prices.
