Embryological development of the hypothalamus

A
  • Develops from the diencephalon (from Forebrain)
  • Hypothalamic sulcus divides the alar plate – dorsal (thalamus) and ventral (hypothalamic)
  • 7th week
  • Hypothalamus differentiates into nuclear areas
