concepts.

What are the effects of systems of discourse?
o creative, allows a free play of rationalities
o not to confront but to discourse and dialogue
o forces one to open and listen to the positions and rationality of others
o hopefully in order to arrive at a position that is reasonable or acceptable to all
engaged rationalities
Discourse allow us to:
Articulate - ?
See - ?
Imagine -?
Realize - ?
Articulate - our rationalities before others
See - own biases
Imagine - different rationalities of ther others, so different from ours.
Realize - own rationality is different, limited and can be broadened and enriched.
For systems of discourse to be genuinely effective certain principles must be followed:
o Open to all who will be affected
o Allows various persons of various rationalities to express their understanding
of the good to each other
o Only the force of the better, more reasonable argument must be considered
o Processes are fair to all rationalities and allow for the free participation of the
various stakeholders
