A

A

Sandbags, barbed wire, no-mans land, ammunition shelf, forested, duckboards, drainage ditch, dugout and the parapet.

A

The area in-between the two sets of front line trenches- not claimed by either side yet.

A

What were 4 main problems in the trenches and how were they solved?

A

Toilets- soldiers dug small its and placed planks of wood with holes in them to sit on. Lice- shave, clean each other like a monkey and even burn clothing entirely if sever enough. Rats- put rations on boxers, tie to roofs or even shoot at them. Trench foot- rub waterproof oil on feet, change socks regularly, amputate toes or even feet if severe enough.
