A

People in agricultural areas because they had not been treated well by the boom either. As income fell, many farmers could not afford mortgages.

What was a dustbowl?

A

A dustbowl was when the topsoil of farmland dried out, and all the crops were uprooted. this caused the soil to become dry and crumbly, and it turned to dust. this dust then covered the whole farm and buried everything.

A

A Hooverville was a shanty town where the millions of unemployed and poor people lived. it was named after the president Herbert Hoover who was believed to have been the cause of all the problems of the residents of the Hoovervilles.
