What is the plot?
jonas lives in a very organized community. It is considered a utopia. jonas and his friends are preparing for the ceremony of the twelves. Jonas is assigned a very important job called the receiver of memory. He receives lots of memories including pain and happiness. He get a new baby in his family from the nurturing center because he is not sleeping well. Gabe, ( the baby) is not a permanent part of the family. Jonas bonds with Gabe and later finds gabe is going to be released. He and the giver come up with an escape plan. Jonas and gabe escape and go through several types of weather including snow. The eventually make it to the amazing place that they can’t describe. They make it to elsewhere.
What is the conflict?
gabe is going to be released. Jonas doesn’t like or understand the point of sameness and he thinks people should experience color, weather, love, etc.
