What are the advantage and disadvantage of maps projections
Maps projection are used for navigation at sea, of airplanes and it helps to teach and inform.
However, the disadvantages are that usually maps are distorted for the diffuculty of transfering a round form into a flat paper.
For what does the Mercator is used?
Mercator, is used for navigation at sea. Most accurate in the tropics from west to east and most distortion at the north and south.
For what does Robinson is used?
It is used in classrooms and is one of most accurate maps. Most accurate at the equator, most distortion around the outer edges.
For what is used the Polar?
Its used for navigation of airplanes, most accurate at the poles, most distortion around the outer edges.
