Ears/Hearing

Skin/Touch
What is the dominant taste of earth?
Sweet and astringent
What is the dominant taste of water?
Sweet is dominant but others are also there
What is the dominant taste of fire?
Pungent (slightly sour and salty)
What is the dominant taste of space?
No taste
What is the dominant taste of air?
Astringent yet slightly bitter
What are the qualities of Earth?
Heavy, hard, slow, stable, dense and gross
What are the qualities of water?
Liquid, oily, cold, slow, soft, moist and smooth
What are the qualities of fire?
Hot, light, sharp, subtle, clear and attractive in form
What are the qualities of space?
Soft, light, subtle, penetrating/minute, homogenous (of the same kind) and vocal in its attributes
What are the qualities of air?
Light, dry, rough, cool, clear, mobile and have a sense of touch.
What action does earth have?
Promotes weight gain and fat, nourishes tissues, brings stability, supports downward flow of Prana, builds muscle
What action does water have?
Water lends moisture and softness to the body, supports binding between tissues, increases determination, brings calmness and happiness to the mind and emotions
What action does fire have?
Increases heat, burning, digestive power, metabolism, brightness or shine, enhances the complexion and lends a healthy glow to the body, causes dryness and moves upward
What action does air have?
Increases roughness, gives lightness to body and mind, cleanses the mind/body, creates repulsion and increases motion and energy.
What action does space have?
Opens channels, softens tissues, increases porosity, creates lightness, kinetic energy and motility in the body.
