A

left a political vaccum when he left his wife in charge of government. His wife also dismissed many ministers in favour of Rasputins friends who did not have gthe skill set to work in government. This also led to many rumours about Rasputin and the Tsarina. Many of his supporters turned against him saying he should step down with the Police refusing to control the Populace meaning his role became virtually useless. His dismissal of the 1915 Duma led to the Progressive bloc being created.
