What does the environment encompass?
The environment encompasses everything that surrounds us.
What components does the environment include?
It includes the following components: Natural environment-Atmosphere, Hydrosphere, Lithosphere, and Biosphere. Human environment-Built environment and Cultural environment, and Interactions and Relationships-Ecosystems, Biodiversity, and Climate systems.
What is the atmosphere?
The layer of gases surrounding the Earth, essential for life.It includes gases like oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon dioxide.
What is the hydrosphere?
All water bodies, including oceans, rivers, lakes, and groundwater.
What is the lithosphere?
The outer layer of the Earth, consisting of rocks and soil.
What is the biosphere?
All living organisms and their interactions with each other and their surroundings.
What is the cultural environment?
Social structures, cultural practices, economic activities, and human interactions.
What is the built environment?
Human-made surroundings such as buildings, roads, and other infrastructure.
What are ecosystems?
Communities of living organisms interacting with each other and their non-living environments.
What does climate systems mean?
Weather patterns and climate, influenced by natural and human activities.
What does biodiversity mean?
The variety of life within an ecosystem, crucial for maintaining balance and resilience.
