What is entrenchment?
A procedure which would make an Act of Parliament difficult to repeal or amend in the future.
What would be one way to entrench?
To include a provision that would require a majority of voted in the House of Commons before repeal or amendment could take place.
What is the supreme law-making body in the UK?
Parliament.
What could Parliament do in the future in regards to the Human Rights Act 1998?
Repeal or ammend it.
What does the Human Rights Act not contain?
Provision to stop or limit the powers of a successor Parliament from repealing or ammending the Human Rights Act 1998.
Why is it unlikely that a successor Parliament would repeal or ammend the Human Rights Act 1998?
It would suggest that the UK does not respect human rights.
