The 6 hormones glands
The pituitary, ovaries, testes, thyroid, adrenal, pancreas
Pituitary gland
Produces hormones that regulate body conditions
Ovaries (females only) gland
Produce oestrogen, which help the menstrual cycle
Testes (male only) gland
Produce testosterone, which control puberty and sperm cell production
Thyroid gland
This produces thyroxine which regulates your metabolic rate
Adrenal gland
This produces adrenaline, which helps the body respond to a stimulus
The pancreas gland
This produces insulin which regulates the blood glucose level
Difference between nerves and hormones
Nerves have faster reactions then hormones, hormones act over a long time nerves don’t and nerves act in specific area but hormones act in general areas
