What was the last major attack of the Blitz? What effects did it have?
Belfast Blitz in April 1941, which killed more than 1000 people. It didn’t greatly reduce the production of factories and damage to transport was quickly repaired.
Was the Blitz successful in damaging the moral of the people?
No, it did less damage than expected. It made those affected even more determined to support the war. However over 3m home were destroyed and 60,000 were killed.
Did German bombing successfully put industry out of action?
No as German bombing was at night and random. Most factories were able to resume production within 2 to 3 days of being hit.
