Sit in center chair

Hold up paper, speaking to Cheever

Take deposition and look at it

Turn fully to Proctor

Take step toward Proctor

Enter SR; walk forward to seam, stop at 4, then turn in

Look around, turn SR to talk to Hathorne

Turn SL to face Willard

Lean and sniff him

Step toward Hathorne

Turn to Willard

Sit on bench

Take small step SR

Cross in front of them to SL 1
Stare at Proctor, then turn SR to leave, exiting 6

Enter to SR 1 (left end of bench)

Move to SL 1.5
Danforth: Now, then, Mister, will you speak slowly, and directly to the point for Mister Cheever’s sake?
Pace btwn SL 1.5 and SR 1
Danforth: Mister Proctor, have you seen the Devil in your life?
Turn and look at him

Start pacing again
Danforth: Ah, Rebecca Nurse.
Acknowledge her.
Danforth: Mister Proctor, when the Devil came to you did you see Rebecca Nurse in his company?
Step closer and closer to Sam

Walk SR

Turn back SL

Point

Step over to SL and lean over

Reach out for it
