adamant
adj-unshakeable or insistent esp. in maintaining a position or opinion- Some people remain adamant in a fight just because fights dont affect them.
afflict
verb-to distree so severely as to cause persistent suffering or anguish, humble, overthrow- the most overly dramatic people say that school afflicts with their own social lives.
beguile
verb-to influence by trickery, flattery, mislead, delude- you can use your identity to beguile people online very easily.
confounded
adj-bewildered, confused, perplexed- i was very confounded when i found out that we have a test in english tomorrow, because no one studied.
contention
noun- a struggling together in opposition, strife, striving in rivalry- the class was filled with contention toward the english test tomorrow.
contiguous
adj- in contact, close proximity without actually tocuhing- most people prefer contiguous sports because they dislike their opponents.
deference
noun- respectful submission or yielding to the judgement, opinion, will of another, respectful or courteous regard- an important quality of a person is to act with deference or you will be disliked.
effrontery
noun- shameless or impudent boldness, barefaced audacity- people who are effrontery about themselves are very proud to be who they are.
formidable
adj- causing fear, apprehension or dread, discourage- the haunted house last year made me formidable about going to another one this year again.
grave
noun- excavation made in the earth in which to bury a dead body- standing on the edge of the cliff puts you in grave danger.
incredulous
adj- indicating or showing unbelief- by the look on your face my story seems very incredulous.
malign
adj- evil in effect, to speak harmful untruths about, speak evil- its very sad to hear that you would believe something malign about me.
manifestation
noun- outward or perceptible indication, materialization- a manifestation is a symbol of something.
predilection
noun- tendency to think favorably of something in particular, partiality, preference- minding other peoples businesses is a predilection of their own thoughts.
pretense
noun- pretending or feigning, make believe or false show of something- fairytales are an example of a pretense everyone loves to hear about.
prodigious
adj- extraordinary in size, amount, extent, degree, force- i had a prodigious amount of homework to be done tonight.
purged
verb- to rid of whatever is impure or undesirable, cleanse/purify- in history we learned the jews were purged in a time called the holocaust.
quail
noun- a small, migratory game bird- i saw some quail running around in the forest.. they ran so fast with their tiny little legs
rankle
verb- unpleasant feelings, experiences, to cause keen irritation or bitter resentment within the mind, painful- every time i think of that memory it rankles me into a cold and creeped out feeling of what i went through.
sniveling
verb- to weep or cry with snifflling affect, a tearful state or whine- i dislike hearing people sniveling because it makes me sad to hear them in cry in pain.
